What is a blog, if it is not optimized to search engines? Merely setting up a blog is not enough. You need to know how to make it "search engine friendly", and if you can do that, you're a winner. If you can't, then you're not going to generate the revenue you thought you could. Your blog could have great content, but the fact is, not too many people will know about it, because it just doesn't show up in the first couple of pages on Google search!

So what should you do so as to change this and start raking in the dough? Here are some tips to get you started!

Tips You Can't Afford To Miss!

* First of all, change the Permalink structure which Wordpress offers. This is simply because the default Permalink structure is quite messy and unappealing, but you can customize it according to your requirements. Use a custom structure such as /%postname%/ and watch the traffic on your site go up!
* Another thing you can do is put in only excerpts of your many posts on your home page or tag pages. In fact, you can apply this rule to your category pages as well. That way, you'll also be steering clear of duplicate content on your various pages.
* To the best of your ability, optimize the internal linking structure of your blog. This has a double advantage - it is user friendly, so users tend to stay on your site and secondly, this gives a healthy boost to your search engine rankings.
* For every page, write unique titles and don't forget to put in little meta descriptions tags for each of those pages. In fact, install the All-In-One SEO pack, it saves you a lot of time and effort.
* Now, as we all know, sitemaps are very important, so use the Xml Sitemaps plug-in. The default settings do all the work for you. All you need to do is upload the plug-in. Here's a handy tip, submit this sitemap to Google!
* When you're done updating the content and posts on your blog, try to Ping sites. Use the writing tab to update your content. Then make a list of sites you want to Ping when you're done publishing new posts. This really helps!
* Last, but definitely not the least, do make sure that your code is indeed a valid one. You could try using the W3C Validator to double check!

Mobile Application Testing - Is it That Important?

Apple had probably set the ball rolling, and we have not looked back since. From the iPhone to the BlackBerry, mobile phones have come a long way from the cumbersome handheld devices they used to be only half a decade ago! And with the advent of the mobile phones, another equally interesting and popular phenomenon has risen - mobile applications. From games to weather forecasts, from RSS feeds to online social networking - mobile phones have become a miniscule version of our world itself.

And this is where mobile application testing comes into the picture. In contrast to earlier practices of allowing bugs and issues to be reported by consumers themselves, agencies have resorted to offering flawless applications - courtesy mobile application testing.

Here are some of the prominent features of a testing procedure prevalent in the industry:

* Development of a strategy or framework for testing
* Harnessing of test scripts and frameworks
* Execution
* Reporting of bugs and issues pertaining to the test
* Cross-platform operability and performance testing
* Certification testing plans
* Final analysis and report

While the above steps seem like a cakewalk, think again! It takes qualified engineers and equally deft software application builders to provide a flawless program and an even smoother testing operation. The whole procedure also requires a test field run - which handpicks a number of potential customers and is tested on. The feedback is used to further refine the mobile applications, which by now should have reached a level of quality and finesse that can be called flawless. If not, the application requires a re-structuring rather than a rerun of the testing procedure!

The complexities involved in testing and verification of Mobile Application requires a dedicated team which understands the nuances of various mobile devices, their manufacturers and the networks on which they operate. At Endeavour Software Technologies this has been accomplished by having a dedicated testing lab viz Endeavour Quality Assurance Lab (EqUAL). They use ACtP3 framework comprising of 5 phases to test mobile applications for achieving the desired result of a robust, scalable, secure, and responsive mobile solution on multiple mobile device platforms. These steps include:

* Analysis: This comprises of identifying the limitations & features of different platforms and devices in order to provide a strong base before starting the testing exercise

* Crash-free Testing: This helps to provide the stability of the application before starting formal testing

* Planned testing: This is the formal testing to ensure the maximum test coverage which includes testing related to Application Start Up, UI Specifications in cross mobile OS, Connectivity, Interaction, Localization,
I/O Capabilities, Memory limitations, Auto updates, Stress Testing and so on

* Peer testing: This involves challenging peer testers to find out any new issue if they can

* Production testing: To ensure the application is running as expected in real time

The Nintendo DS is a portable gaming console used to play different videogames created especially for it. The R4 cards provide additional storage space for the games that cannot be stored directly on the gaming console whose memory in not rewritable. R4 cards on the other hand are rewritable and can be used again and again to store different games that are compatible with the Nintendo DS. There are plenty of R4 DS games available on the internet that could be downloaded and installed directly on to these cards. When the gamer is done with a particular game stored on the R4 card, the game can be easily deleted and a new game can be stored in its place.
R4 DS games can be used to play both homebrew games as well as commercial games developed and released for the Nintendo DS. Homebrew games refer to games that are developed by users for particular hardware, such as the Nintendo DS, which are propriety hardware and cannot be reprogrammed by the user. These are generally available as free ware on the internet. This also includes fangames which are games developed by fans to imitate a particular popular game and may or may not have characters and themes similar to their popular counterparts. Another type of R4 DS games includes the commercial games which are developed by the proprietors themselves and are compatible only with the particular hardware.
Here is a list of the ten best pen and paper roleplaying games of all-time. Although there is no scientific way to prove the 'best RPG games' ever, this list takes into account the overall popularity of pen and paper roleplaying games since the industry was first created.

10 - Gamma World - It's a post-apocalyptic game, but not in the style of Mad Max. This game fit more into the style of a science fantasy game. You could play all sorts of random mutant creatures, in addition to playing people that were mostly normal.

9 - Vampire the Masquerade - Some may argue which is the best World of Darkness product. But Vampire the Masquerade was the game that put White Wolf on the map. Vampire the Masquerade has also become the number Live Action Roleplaying Game in the world. Go LARP'ers!

8 - RuneQuest - This game was considered as one of the 'Big Three' at some point. The big three being D&D, Traveller, and RuneQuest. It provided a different setting and system than other fantasy roleplaying games at the time.

7 - Champions - Although it may no longer be the most popular comic-themed roleplaying game ever, this game has been around a long time since it was first published in 1981. The game set the stage for many other comic book and super hero related roleplaying games.

6 - Tunnels & Trolls - Right after D&D was T&T. Tunnels & Trolls was the second roleplaying game ever created. The game was created as an alternate, and hopefully easier to play, version of Dungeons & Dragons.

5 - GURPs - The Generic Universal RolePlaying System is able to adapt itself to any game environment. Any setting you can think of has been created for the system. Its creator, Steve Jackson, is one of the most well-known game designers in the industry because of this game.

4 - Star Wars - Based on the movies carrying the same name, the Star Wars Roleplaying Game was first created by West End Games using the d6 system. Eventually it moved on to other companies and saw some play time under the d20 system, and then finally the Saga Edition. It is the premiere sci-fi, or space opera, themed roleplaying game due to George Lucas dominating the minds of nerds all over the world.

3 - Traveller - Not as famous as its other space opera buddy, Star Wars. This game, however, did come out as a roleplaying system before George Lucas's creation did. Traveller was first created in 1977 and has been going strong ever since. The game is definitely considered one of the 'original' RPGs.

2 - Call of Cthulhu - A unique entry into this list. This horror-based roleplaying game is based off of the works of H.P. Lovecraft. There really isn't a popular, comparable game out on the market now. Instead, different gaming companies have chosen to create Call of Cthulhu in a variety of different systems under a variety of different publishers.

1 - Dungeons & Dragons - The most famous pen and paper roleplaying game of all time. This fantasy game still dominates the market with all of its various incarnations, from the original D&D to 4th Edition. D&D creators Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson are legends in the industry, just as the game itself is.

Hola! I am planning to go to Jamaica in 2 weeks!! Time is flying and I am starting to think about what I am going to do with my hair. I thought briefly about braids but I am not really a braid person (have only had my hair braided twice in my life) and not a full weave gurl either. I am thinking roller set when I get there and will just wear that for the rest of the week and should it get "tired" switch to a braid out or twist out. A good ole ' ponytail or bun could work also. I am not planning on going swimming because I don't find swimming fun. It is only to be initiated in a "I could possibly drown" situation!! FOR REAL! What did you do with your hair while in Jamaica? I am so clueless!

Ok so with loads of highly anticipated FPS's coming out before x-mas, just wondering what people's favoutite is??

My shortlist would be:

Halo 3
Gear of War
Gear of War2
Call of Duty-Modern Warfare
Call of Duty-World at War
Half-Life 2

Ok so obviously Halo 2 is the most critically acclaimed - but it is also a pc port. I think my favorite is still modern warfare. the cinematography and tension of 1plr beats all the rest and multiplayer still reminds me of counter strike for the 21st century. with css bein my favorite game of all time then this is a big compliment for me.

Other things I am impressed with? the map editor in halo 3 should be in ever fps cause it adds so much more life to the game. the cover system in gear of war-2 makes all other fps feels sluggish when trying to take cover.

Ok so whats everyones favorite 360 shooter?? did I miss any other "biggies"?

Just thought I didn't mention bioshock, which I love, but I don't count it as a proper fps like the others.

Hi!
I love reading and have read a couple of books. I started reading after I read "The Da Vinci Code", I liked reading the book so much that I started reading other novels also and slowly started liking reading. I am currently reading a very good book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" penned down by J K Rowling. She has written about 6 books and all of these were gifted to me by a friend of mine for Christmas. He knows this kind of books I like. I am enjoying reading this book. What are you currently reading? It would be great fun to know what the other here people are reading.
